The National Wrestling Hall of Fame and its entities are funded by contributions from wrestling supporters, grants, corporate sponsorships and planned estate gifts. The National Wrestling Hall of Fame Endowment Fund provides a perpetual source of annual income for programs and operating costs. Planned and estate gifts from generous supporters provide the future support needed to help the Hall of Fame continue its mission to preserve history, recognize excellence and inspire future generations.
What is the relationship of the Dan Gable Museum with the National Wrestling Hall of Fame?
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame purchased the Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum in 2010 and renamed it the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum. The Dan Gable Museum has its own staff and operating budget.
What is the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Legacy Society?
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame Legacy Society recognizes individuals who contribute a planned, deferred or cash gift to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame’s Endowment Fund. A bequest is the easiest way to have a lasting impact on the Hall of Fame and its long-term goals. The Hall of Fame can provide expert advice to donors on how to best structure a gift.

What is the State Chapter program?
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame established its State Chapter program in 1993 to help honor and recognize individuals, at the state level, who have positively impacted the sport of wrestling. The State Chapter program has its own staff and operating budget.
State Chapters pay tribute to those coaches, officials and contributors who represent the best qualities of what the sport of wrestling has to offer and who share those characteristics with young people day in and day out.
The following states do not have a Hall of Fame chapter, preventing many deserving individuals from being recognized: Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont and Wyoming.
