First Girls Invitational Wrestling Tournament held at the SRC Arena

On January 27, 2024 many of the girls who wrestled as certified wrestlers by the NYSPHAA participated in an unofficial wrestling tournament sponsored by the NYSPHSAA.

Congratulations to Athletic Director and Hall of Fame Member Andy Noel’s Retirement from Cornell University

2013 Upstate New York Chapter honoree Andy Noel will retire from Cornell University as the University’s Athletic Director after over 40 years at Cornell.

Upstate New York honoree John Clark pens book "Journey to Daybreak"

The Upstate New York Chapter is pleased to report that John Clark, 2005 Chapter Hall of Famer and former St. Lawrence University Wrestling coach, has written an excellent book, “Journey to Daybreak”.

NYSPHSAA Girls Invitational Wrestling Tournament to be held at SRC Arena in Syracuse

On January 27, 2023 the NYSPHSAA Girls Invitational Wrestling Tournament will be held at the SRC Arena in Syracuse. This year girls’ wrestling has been sanctioned by the NYSPHSAA as an “emerging sport” for the state.

25th Annual Upstate New York Inductions

On Sunday September 25, 2022, the Upstate New York Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame held it’s 25th annual ceremony with 335 individuals from our New York wrestling family.
