Medal of Courage Recipient Gary Chopp Passes Away
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame was saddened to learn that Gary Chopp, who received the Medal of Courage award from the Hall of Fame in 2021, unexpectedly passed away on August 27, at the age of 71.

The Florida Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame hosted its annual ceremony and honored Lifetime Service to Wrestling recipients Terry Brockland, Frank Fuder, Brian K. Jones, Michael Madry, Jonathan Vogt, Jeremy Walton, and Medal of Courage recipient Christopher Brent Hixon.
National Wrestling Hall of Fame Museums Closed On Labor Day
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum will be closed on Monday, September 1, for Labor Day.
The museums will reopen on Tuesday, September 2.
