2021 Massachusetts Chapter Honorees Recognized

The 2021 Massachusetts Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame induction was held in the Putnam Club at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Saturday, November 13th. 

One of the things that makes this event so special each year is the gathering of members (past inductees and directors) to welcome the new class of honorees. The Massachusetts Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame honored our 2021 Lifetime Service inductees Dr. Robert FitzgeraldEd HanleyDennis KingMarc LorangerHeb Evans (posthumous) and our 2021 Outstanding American inductee Rodney Smith.

Their achievements will be recognized by the prestigious National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in Stillwater, Oklahoma with an official commemorative plaque, a National Hall of Fame jacket, a biographical poster board and a keepsake program booklet. Their names will be memorialized with the other inductees on the National Wall of Honor. 

Chas Tucker announced 2021 Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award recipient Max Leete and our 2021 Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award recipient Sophia Matthews. Chas also announded our 2021 recipients of the Jim Peckham “Earning the Right to Win '' ScholarshipEthan Wilson (Thayer Academy, Prep School recipient) and Max Leete (Danvers High school, Public School recipient). 

The ceremonies were officiated by Sean Harrington and Annie Staulo. Our Massachusetts wrestling community had a fun night of celebrating and reminiscing as we honored these individuals and provided memories of their great accomplishments.
