Senior Women’s Freestyle Champions Crowned at U.S. Open
Led by Outstanding Wrestler award recipient Katie Gomez and including Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award winner Everest Leydecker, the 10 winners of the Senior Women’s Freestyle U.S. Open were decided on Friday.
The 10 champions punched their ticket to Final X in June, where they’ll wrestle for a spot on Team USA.
First Six Members of Senior Greco-Roman World Team Decided
The first six members of the 2026 U.S. Greco-Roman World Team are locked with Xavier Johnson, Max Nowry, Dalton Roberts.
Champions in the Greco-Roman Group B weights (82 kg, 87 kg, 97 kg, 130 kg) will be decided on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m. (PT) with round one in the best-of-three finals.

Second 50th Anniversary Coloring Book Released
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame has released the second of five coloring books being created as part of its 50th Anniversary Celebration.
The series is being developed by Foundation for Wrestling Art & Innovation (FWAI) founder and former wrestler Ross Bendik, a member of the Hall of Fame’s 50th Anniversary Committee.
The first coloring book featured the years 1976 to 1985, the Hall of Fame’s opening decade, while the newest edition highlights 1986 to 1995 and capturing another exciting era in the history of the sport.

The best-of-three championship finals for Greco-Roman Group A (55 kg, 60 kg, 63 kg, 67 kg, 72 kg, 77 kg) will be contested on Thursday at the 2026 U.S. Open Championships.
Finalists include Zane Richards, who was the Illinois winner of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame's Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award in 2012.
