LIMA, Peru – United World Wrestling has released brackets for all three Olympic styles at the 2026 U23 Pan American Championships, which begin on Thursday morning at La Videna Velodrome in Lima, Peru. 

Two past age-group World champions highlight the Team USA freestyle lineup—Sage Mortimer in women’s freestyle and Justin Rademacher in men’s freestyle. Mortimer, a 2024 U23 World champion, begins her tournament at 50 kg against Ana Santos Do Prado Silva of Brazil. Rademacher, a 2025 U20 World champion, is in a five-man round-robin bracket at 97 kg. Both are strong favorites for gold. 

The U.S. Greco-Roman side features 2025 Senior World Team member Max Black at 60 kg and two-time U20 World bronze medalist Aden Attao at 130 kg. Black opens in the quarterfinals against Panama’s Tony Mock Yanguez. Attao sits in a three-man round-robin bracket opposite Fabrizio Seminario Calla of Peru and 2024 U23 Pan American runner-up Antonio Ramos of Puerto Rico. 

Men’s freestyle U20 World medalists Bennett Berge (86 kg) and Connor Mirasola (125 kg) are top contenders in round-robin brackets. Berge is the most credentialed athlete in his weight. Mirasola could get a nice push from 2026 Senior Pan American runner-up Jorawar Dhinsa of Canada. 

Three Americans have drawn past U20 World medalists—Noah Tolentino (65 kg) and Nicco Ruiz (74 kg) in men’s freestyle, plus Claire DiCugno (62 kg) in women’s freestyle. 

Karissa Turnwall gets 2024 U23 Pan American champion Yusmy Chaparro Urrego of Colombia first up at 55 kg in women’s freestyle. 

Carter Stephenson has drawn 2025 Senior Pan American champion Jeremy Peralta Gonzalez of Ecuador in the 67 kg Greco-Roman quarterfinals. 

Initial opponents for all 30 U.S. wrestlers can be found below. Athletes in a round robin bracket will have multiple opponents listed. 

The tournament will be contested over three days, with all 10 weights in each style running start-to-finish in a single day—men’s freestyle leads things off on June 11, followed by women’s freestyle on June 12, culminating with Greco-Roman on June 13. Wrestling begins at 10 a.m. local time each day. Lima, Peru, is one hour behind U.S. Eastern Time.
