Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase Features Four Repeat Winners
The 2026 Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase produced four repeat winners with Emma Bacon, Jaclyn Bouzakis, Taina Fernandez and Brooke Huffman. It was the third consecutive title for Bacon and Bouzakis.
Deionna Borders, who is the Ohio winner of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame's Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award for 2026, won the 235-pound title.
Greco-Roman U20 World Team Set
The U20 Greco-Roman World Team was set on Thursday night at the 2026 U.S. Open Championships, including Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award winners Manuel Saldate (60 kg) and Nicholas Sorrow.
Arvin Khosravy made his third-straight U20 Greco-Roman World Team at The Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas.
The winner of each weight class has now qualified for the U20 World Team. The 2026 U20 World Championships are slated for August 16-23 in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Regional Winners of Dave Schultz High School Excellence Awards Announced
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame on Wednesday announced the regional winners of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award (DSHSEA).
The Hall of Fame’s High School Excellence Awards are proudly sponsored by the Hyman Family, whose generous support and passion for the sport help ensure the continued recognition and development of wrestling’s next generation.
The winners are Austin Collins (Central), Michael Mocco (Southeast), Dreshaun Ross (Midwest), Dunia Sibomana-Rodriguez (Northeast) and Rocklin Zinkin (West).
The national winner will be announced on April 29. The national winner will be chosen from the regional winners.
Regional Winners of Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award Announced
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame on Tuesday announced the regional winners of the Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award (TSHSEA).
The Hall of Fame’s High School Excellence Awards are proudly sponsored by the Hyman Family, whose generous support and passion for the sport help ensure the continued recognition and development of wrestling’s next generation.
The regional winners are Kiley Dillow (Central), Zorina Johnson (West), Natalie Radecki (Northeast), Willow White (Southeast) and Taylor Whiting (Midwest).
The national winner will be announced on April 28. The national winner will be chosen from the regional winners.
