Allen Named 2025 Iowa High School Female Wrestler of the Year Award Recipient
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum has announced that Molly Allen of Riverside High School in Oakland, Iowa, has been chosen as the 2025 recipient of the Iowa High School Female Wrestler of the Year award.
This award is presented annually to the top female high school senior wrestler in Iowa.
Allen will be presented her award during the Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa inductions on June 20 at the Prairie Links Golf & Event Center in Waverly, Iowa, on Friday, June 20. A native of Oakland, Iowa, Allen has been immersed in wrestling since childhood, growing up in a household with four brothers who fueled her competitive spirit. She began wrestling at the age of four and quickly developed into a standout athlete. Competing against both boys and girls, she made history alongside her brother, Blake, as the first sibling duo to win back-to-back Iowa state titles in 2023 and 2024.
A four-time state champion, Allen also captured titles at Fargo, Super 32, and Preseason Nationals. As a freshman, she competed on the boys team, finishing the season with a 29-7 record and qualifying for the state tournament.
Allen continues to push boundaries in the sport, inspiring the next generation of wrestlers with her dedication and achievements.
