Gordon Hoffman

Gordon Hoffman is recognized for his years of dedication to the development of leadership and citizenship in young people through the sport of wrestling.

He coached at the high school and junior high school levels for 18 years, and was a high school wrestling official for 34 years.

Coach Gordon coached the Hillsboro and Forest Grove junior and senior high school teams for 18 years. He led his high school teams to eight Top 10 finishes at the Oregon state high school tournament while coaching five state champions, 10 runner-up finishers, 13 state place-winners and 35 district champions.

In addition to coaching, Gordon also shared his time for 34 years as an official, including working 13 state tournaments. He was an active member of the officials association and served as president on four occasions.

For his dedication and lasting influence on wrestling, Gordon Hoffman is honored with the Lifetime Service to Wrestling award by the Oregon Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
