Bill Cramp
Bill Cramp was an active high school and collegiate wrestling official for 26 years. He was inducted into the EIWA Officials Hall of Fame in 1993. Bill was the co-founder of the NCAA Wrestling Officials Association, along with Pat McCormick and Pascal Perri. Bill was the designer for the logo used for the Referee's patch. Bill refereed in 11 consecutive NCAA Championships, from 1970-1980, working in the Finals in each of those years. Bill refereed the East-West All Star meet in 1975. He officiated many ElOWA championships along with numerous ACC, Southern Conference, EWL and PSAC Championships. Bill officiated the Pittsburgh Dapper Dan High School Wrestling Classic in the first three years of the event. This meet features an All-Star team representing Pennsylvania, matched up with All-Stars from all over the USA. Bill officiated many Pennsylvania (PIAA) & Florida State High School Championship and Qualifying Tournaments. Off the mat, Bill served as Vice-President of the EIWOA for 3 years. He was the President of the EWL Officials at the inception of the league. He also served as the regional rules interpreter for both the NCAA and PIAA. As a competitor, Bill was a 2-year letterman at Penn State, and was a member of the 1953 Nittany Lions, the first Penn State team to win a National Championship Team. Bill currently resides in Thomasville, GA
