Curt Berger

A 2-time state champion at Crook County HS, Curt went to Oregon State University where he was PAC-10 champion at 142lbs and graduated with a double major in 1986. He then earned a masters degree in agricultural education. After three years as an assistant coach at Redmond and Sandy high schools, Curt became the head coach at Hermiston high school, where he stayed for 21 years, finishing his career with a dual meet record of 294-68-2, seven district team championships and 6 0SAA State team titles. He was named District Coaching the year six times, state coach of the year 4 times and NWCA Oregon coach of the year twice. His wrestlers won 33 individual state titles and 111 State medals. Curt also coached the Hermiston high school tennis team to eight district team titles and 3 0SAA State team titles, & was name State tennis coach of the year in 2010. Curt’s 4 children won 13 individual state OSAA high school titles in tennis (10) and Wrestling (3).
