For 30 plus years Rocky Shaft has directed the wrestling program at his alma matter, Holt High School, and did it with a tremendous amount of passion and success.

His coaching resume includes 31 consecutive years without a losing season, 15 individual state champions, 62 individual state placers, over 175 individual state qualifiers, over 145 individual league champions.

His Holt teams have placed in the Top 10 in the state 27 of the last 35 years with a dual meet record of 443 wins against just 53 losses including 22 district titles, 11 regional titles and three team state championships in 1996, 1997 and 2008.

Rocky's accomplishments have not gone unnoticed, having been named "Coach of the Year" by either The Lansing State Journal, The Michi­gan Wrestling Association or the Lansing Officials Association over a dozen times throughout his career.
