Mike Colley
Mike Colley's storied career both began and ended in West Chester. Mike was a 1968 graduate of West Chester Henderson High School, where he lettered in both wrestling and lacrosse. Alter high school, Mike matriculated to West Chester University, where he earned an education degree while participating in the wrestling and lacrosse programs. Alter spending two years teaching and coaching at New Oxford High School, Mike came back to West Chester in 1974 as a teacher and started both the wrestling and lacrosse programs at the newly built West Chester East High School. Mike achieved great success at East High School during his 33-year tenure as head wrestling coach. He amassed 303 career-coaching victories and won 7 Ches-Mont League Championships. In addition, Coach Colley's teams won 3 Sectional Titles, 2 District Titles, and a Regional Title. Mike coached 1984 State Champion Dave Morgan, as well as 13 State Medalists, 14 Regional Champions, 34 District Champions, and 52 Sectional Champions. For a record 19 straight years, Coach Colley had a state qualifier.
