Brock Mantanona

Brock Mantanona was a two-time California Interscholastic Federation state champion, winning at 150 pounds as senior in 2024 and at 126 pounds as a sophomore in 2022, for Palm Desert High School in Bermuda Dunes, California.

He was a three-time CIF state finalist, finishing second at 138 pounds as a junior in 2023, and had career prep record of 115-3, including 29-0 as a senior.

Mantanona was a two-time Doc Buchanan tournament champion, winning titles in 2023 and 2024, and a Super 32 finalist in 2022.

He won a bronze medal in freestyle at the 2023 U17 World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey, and was a two-time Fargo finalist, winning the U16 freestyle title at 132 pounds in 2022 and finishing second at 113 pounds in 2021.

Brother, Beau Mantanona, was the California winner of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award in 2023.

An honor roll student, Brock will continue his wrestling career at the University of Michigan, where Beau is also a member of the team.

Brothers Anthony and Troy wrestled at the University of Oklahoma.
