As a wrestling official, Bruce has been an active member of the Cambria-Somerset Chapter of PIAA Wrestling Officials Association, serving as president, interpreter, and secretary/treasurer. He has been District 6 Wrestling Rules Interpreter the past 25 years and was assistant supervisor of officials at the PIAA State Championships. He has served as head official at the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Championships as well as the Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association Championships. Bruce is a member of NCAA Eastern Wrestling League Association, currently serving as the President of the Board of Directors, and is a member of the NWOA; CWOA. His Mat Sense Officials' Clinics has been devoted to the training of wrestling officials. Bruce continues to reside in Johnstown.
