"Coach of the Year" 1992, 1994, 2000 and 2001 "¢ Connellsville High School Head Coach 1968 to 2002 "¢ Record 448 wins, 137 losses and 6 ties Tom Dolde was a member of the original wrestling team at Slippery Rock in 1959. Upon graduating from Slippery Rock University, Coach Dolde returned to his high school alma mater, Connellsville in 1960. In 1967, Connellsville began a wrestling program and Tom took over as head coach in 1968, and remained in that position for 34 years. In the span from 1975 to 2002, Coach Dolde's teams won 25 of 27 sectional titles and 4 regional titles. He has coached 141 section champions, 23 regional champions, and 77 state qualifiers, of which 7 were State Champions and 28 were place winners. His 2000 team finished second in the P.I.A.A. Team Championships. Tom and his wife, Donna have two sons, Don and Tom. Both are also teachers and coaches in the Connellsville School District. Coach Dolde is in his third year as a volunteer wrestling coach with his son Torn.
