Official State Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame

We Are At It Again.....For 25 Years!

NWHOF Florida kicked off its 25th anniversary with a big footprint inside the Silver Spurs Arena during the FHSAA State Championships. This wrestling extravaganza is the perfect venue for the HOF to put its museum on display and bring Board members together to support the event. The panoramic photo is a hint as to the size of the space we occupy. Our exposure to the fans of wrestling is our greatest reward. The flow of traffic is slowed by their interest in our museum's video programs, photo array, and memorabilia. The fun we have with them is a hoot, especially when we break out the "Wheel of Fortune". Each year we have to apologize to the authorities for the traffic jam created as fans spin to win. Many thanks to COMBS SERVICE for their donation of HOF tote bags and HOF T-shirts and HOF towels, that are very popular prizes. Spinners can win candy, Florida Chapter stickers and pens. Many of us meet, for the first time, members of the Class of 2024 (Lifetime Service to Wrestling: Sal Basile, James Dailey, Michael Graham, Dan Moody, Pat Ryan and Ryland Wagner, Outstanding American: Michael Pedersen). We asked them to check in with us to receive their complementary shirt and a packet preparing them for Honors Weekend and finally we want them to participate in the 'Green Jacket' ceremony preceding the Finals Parade of Champions. We are always excited to visit with our fellow alumni in attendance and we encourage their help in making the ceremony a success. At the conclusion of the Parade, board member, Jeff Malavsky honors the boy and girl recipients of our Next Level Scholarships with a big check. In the Hall's final act of support, NWHOF framed certificates, signed by National Director Leroy Smith, are handed to the champions in all classifications.

We are so honored to be a big part of FHSAA's premier event and we are appreciative of the role they allow us to play. See you at Honors Weekend in August when we will be at it again.

Our Mission: To honor the sport of wrestling by preserving its history, recognizing extraordinary individual achievements, and inspiring future generations
