The Alabama Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame officially honored its Class of 2026 on May 3.

Hasaan Hawthorne was honored as a Medal of Courage recipient while Gary Averett, Brookwood High School, Coach; Doug Baxter, Coach and Official; Eddie Crocker, Homewood High School, Coach; Jeff Mann, Erwin High School, Coach and Official; Scott Peavey, Walter Wellborn High School and Madison Co. High School, Coach; Jack Stallings, Official; and Shawn Weltzin, Thompson High School, Coach all received the Lifetime Service to Wrestling award.
