Final X men's freestyle competitors already determined include Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award winners Marcus Blaze, Ohio and National in 2025; Wyatt Hendrickson, Kansas in 2019; Ridge Lovett, Idaho in 2019; Chance Marsteller, Pennsylvania and National in 2014; and Zahid Valencia, California and National in 2015.

Team USA's Wyatt Hendrickson was the Kansas winner of our Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award in 2019, Ridge Lovett was the Idaho winner in 2019 and Cohlton Schultz and Zahid Valencia are both national winners while Everest Leydecker was the Arizona winner of our Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award in 2026.

Alabama Chapter Recognized at 2026 State Championships

Individuals who have been honored by the Alabama Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame were recognized during the 2026 Alabama High School Athletic Association state wrestling tournament.

Colorado's Austin Collins Named Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award National Winner

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame on Wednesday announced that Austin Collins of Wray, Colorado is the 2026 national winner of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award (DSHSEA).

2026 World Team Trials Challenge Tournament Men’s Freestyle Qualifiers

Lots of winners of our Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award scheduled to compete in men's freestyle at the 2026 Senior World Team Trials Challenge Tournament on May 14-15 at Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Kentucky, including national winners David Carr, Zain Retherford and Aeoden Sinclair.

The tournament will feature five weight classes with the winners qualifying for Final X on June 19 in Newark, New Jersey, where they will face the U.S. Open champion in a best-of-three series to determine the Senior World Team member.

2026 World Team Trials Challenge Tournament Women’s Freestyle Qualifiers

Lots of winners of our Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award scheduled to compete in women's freestyle at the 2026 Senior World Team Trials Challenge Tournament on May 14-15 at Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Kentucky, including national winners Piper Fowler and Emily Shilson.

The tournament will feature seven weight classes (50 kg, 53 kg, 55 kg, 59 kg, 62 kg, 65 kg, 72 kg) with the winners qualifying for Final X on June 19 in Newark, New Jersey, where they will face the U.S. Open champion in a best-of-three series to determine the Senior World Team member.
