USA Wrestling and Kerberos Capital Management are proud to announce a new partnership with Kerberos as the title sponsor for 2026 Final X.
2026 Final X, presented by Kerberos Capital Management, returns to the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Friday, June 19. Final X will determine the 2026 U.S. Senior World Team for men’s and women’s freestyle.
Ross Named 2026 Bob Steenlage Iowa High School Wrestler of the Year Recipient
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum has announced that Dreshaun Ross of Fort Dodge High School has been chosen as the 2026 recipient of the Bob Steenlage Iowa High School Wrestler of the Year award.
Named in honor of the first four-time Iowa high school state champion, the award is presented annually to the top high school senior wrestler in Iowa.
Jimenez & Rayome Named Inaugural NCAA Women's Wrestler & Rookie of the Year
Lehigh University's Audrey Jimenez has been named the NCAA Women's Wrestler of the Year and North Central University's Riley Rayome has been named the NCAA Women's Rookie of the Year, as announced by the National Wrestling Coaches Association on Tuesday.
Jimenez was the Arizona and West Region winner of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame's Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award in 2024 while Rayome was the Texas and Central Region winner in 2025.
This is the inaugural year for the awards, coming off of 2026 being the inaugural year for an NCAA National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championship.
Penn State Sets NCAA Scoring Mark; Record Four Freshmen Win Titles
For the third straight year, Penn State finsished first and set the team scoring record for the third year in a row, finishing with 181.5 points, at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships. Oklahoma State finished second with 131 points, followed by Nebraska with 100.5 points and Iowa with 92.5 points.
Penn State (four) and Oklahoma State (three) combined for seven of the 10 individual titles. Minnesota also had a national title for the Big Ten Conference. The ACC had two individual champions to round out the top wrestlers at each weight class.
Penn State Clinches Fifth-Straight and 14th Overall NCAA Team Title
For the fifth straight year, and the 14th time overall, Penn State is your NCAA Division I men’s wrestling national champion. Even before six Nittany Lions toe the line in the finals Saturday night, Penn State has already clinched the 2026 team race after the placement matches at the 2026 NCAA Championships.
The NCAA finals will be at 6:30 p.m. (ET) tonight and televised on ESPN.
Penn State Matches Record Six Finalists, Oklahoma State Puts Four Freshman in NCAA Finals
The 10 finalists are set and all 80 All-Americans have navigated their way through the brackets after Day 2 at the 2026 NCAA Championships in Cleveland.
Penn State maintains the team lead over Oklahoma State 153-111.5. Both schools have eight All-Americans, but the Nittany Lions tied the NCAA record with six finalists while the Cowboys will have four freshmen compete for a title in their first trip to the NCAAs.
Penn State Sets Record with Eight Semifinalists
Penn State had a perfect eight-for-eight round in the quarterfinals Friday afternoon at the 2026 NCAA Championships and set a new NCAA record as eight semifinalists will return to action in tonight’s session looking to reach the NCAA finals.The previous record for most semifinalists was seven, which was done multiple times, most recently by Penn State in both 2018 and 2019.
Pair of No. 2 Seeds Upset, Penn State Continues Dominance
Penn State leads the team race with 40.5 points, and a tournament-high eight quarterfinalists. The eight Nittany Lions still on the front side combined to go 16-0 with 15 bonus point wins (four falls, seven tech falls and four major decisions) on the first day of action.
Nebraska sits in second with 27 points, Iowa in third with 25.5 points and Oklahoma State in fourth at 25 points. All three schools have seven into the quarterfinals, with Penn State, Nebraska and Oklahoma State all still having all 10 wrestlers advance to the second day of action.
