CORALVILLE, Iowa – United World Wrestling has released brackets in the Greco-Roman, women’s freestyle and men’s freestyle divisions for the 2026 Senior Pan American Championships, which begin on Thursday morning at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa.

Five returning Senior World medalists highlight the U.S. lineup—Kylie Welker in women’s freestyle, plus Zahid ValenciaTrent HidlayLevi Haines and Real Woods in men’s freestyle.

Welker, a two-time World bronze medalist, has drawn the marquee preliminary match of the bunch against 2024 Olympic bronze medalist Tatiana Renteria of Colombia at 76 kg. Hidlay, the reigning World champion, will also face a Paris Olympian, Pool Ambrocio Greifo of Peru, as he begins his run at 92 kg. Ambrocio Greifo is also entered in the Greco-Roman division and opens with American Timothy Young, who just won the U.S. Open, at 97 kg.

Another spicy matchup for the U.S. audience comes at 79 kg, with Haines getting his start against Puerto Rico's Michael Labriola. Haines is the returning World silver medalist in the weight, while Labriola was 12th in Zagreb, Croatia. Labriola was an NCAA finalist and five-time All-American at Nebraska.

The U.S. also sports a pair of Olympians on its roster who have moved up in weight this season—Kamal Bey at 82 kg in Greco-Roman and Kayla Miracle at 65 kg in women’s freestyle. Both have small round-robin brackets and are considered gold-medal favorites.

2025 Senior World Team member and 2024 U23 World silver medalist Beka Melelashvili faces a worthy challenger in the first round at 87 kg in Greco-Roman—2024 Olympian and two-time U23 World medalist Daniel Gregorich Hechavarria of Cuba.

2022 Senior World Team member Abigail Nette will test herself early against 2025 World bronze medalist Laurence Beauregard at 59 kg in women’s freestyle. Nette recently won the U.S. Open and has earned two bronze medals at UWW Ranking Series events this year.

Nette’s well-credentialed Army WCAP teammates Adaugo Nwachukwu and Jasmine Robinson each open with a U20 World bronze medalist. Nwachukwu is paired against Melanie Jimenez Villalba of Mexico at 62 kg, while Robinson has drawn Eduarda Rodrigues Batista of Brazil at 68 kg.

Initial opponents for each U.S. wrestler can be found below. Athletes in a round robin bracket will have multiple opponents listed. A full set of brackets and match-by-match results is available on UWW Arena. A live broadcast of the event can be found at FloWrestling.com.

The Senior Pan American Championships are spread across four days of wrestling, with each style competing over two days. Greco-Roman leads things off on Thursday and Friday. Women’s freestyle takes place on Friday and Saturday. Men’s freestyle wraps up the event on Saturday and Sunday.
