Tickets for the 2025 National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships (NCWWC), the annual national championships for NCAA women’s wrestling programs, are now on sale. The 2025 NCWWC will be held at the Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa—warmly known as Wrestling Town USA—on March 7 – 8, 2025. This year’s championship will feature 320 female wrestlers from all three NCAA Divisions competing for a national title.

If approved, the first women’s wrestling championship would take place in 2026.

The NCWWC currently includes 96 NCAA programs from the Division I, II and III levels. Student-athletes must qualify for the NCWWC through eight Regional Qualifiers. This will be the sixth year the national tournament has been held and the first time being hosted at the Xtream Arena.

The defending NCWWC team champion is the University of Iowa, who dethroned previous three-time NCWWC National Champions, McKendree University (Illinois). For local women’s wrestling fans, Iowa-based NCAA universities with the ability to qualify for the NCWWC finals this season include the University of Iowa, the University of Dubuque, Simpson College, Wartburg College, Cornell College and Central College.

The 2025 NCWWC is being organized by Wrestle Like A Girl, a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower girls and women using the sport of wrestling to become leaders in life. The competition is also supported by a coalition of national wrestling organizations including USA Wrestling, the National Wrestling Coaches Association, the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, and D1 Women’s Wrestling.
