Cash Stone

Cash Stone started the wrestling program at Mead High School in 1959 and spent the next 38 years developing this program into one of the powers of the Greater Spokane League and the state of Washington.

During these 38 years, Cash had 13 league championships, 15 district championships, eight regional championships and two state championship titles.

He coached 10 state champs, 60 state-placers and led his teams to 10 Top 10 finishes at the state level.

He was named the Washington Wrestling Coach of the Year in 1979 and 1993, and Inland Empire Coach of the Year in 1993.

Stone is a member of the National Federation of High School Coaches Hall of Fame, the Washington State Coaches Association Hall of Fame and the Inland Empire Coaches Hall of Fame.
