John Rees

John Rees has left a trail of distinction from his 28 years of coaching along with overcoming a handicap that eventually caused him to retire early in his career as a longtime coach in the Inland Empire. John competed as a high school wrestler at Central Valley High School and then went on to compete in wrestling and gymnastics at Eastern Washington University. During his 28 years of coaching, John has been an inspiration to many wrestlers, along with establishing a junior high coaching record that stands alone. One of John's many outstanding accomplishments was a team that went undefeated for six straight years. Along with his wrestling coaching duties, he also coached softball, baseball, and football. New that he has retired from teaching, he still volunteers to coach the sport of wrestling at Greenacres Junior High School in the Spokane Valley.
