David Frayer

Coach "¢ 2-Time Florida Coach of the Year "¢ Career Record 373-75-1 "¢ 22 Individual State Champions In 1971, when Coach Frayer became head coach at Miami Military Academy, he also ran the North Miami Takedown Club and in 1974 he became the coach at North Miami Senior High School. While in Miami his teams won 72 dual meets while losing 46 and he coached 4 state champions. After the 1980 season Coach Frayer became coach of Countryside High School, where he coaches today. His coaching record at Countryside is 301-29-1 while coaching 18 individual state champions. Coach Frayer organized and coached the Bad Cat Wrestling Club since 1980. He has coached multiple national freestyle and Greco-Roman champions and currently runs his own commuter camp in conjunction with Florida Pride Wrestling Camps. When Dave is not busy with coaching, he has officiated both freestyle and Greco at the National level as well as the local. For his dedication and lasting influence on wrestling, David W. Frayer is presented the National Wrestling Hall of Fame's "Lifetime Service to Wresting" award for the class of 2002.
