Cleon S. Cassel was a 4-year letter winner at Franklin and Marshall College, where he wrestled for Hall of Fame Coach, Roy Phillips. After graduation Cleon started the wrestling program at Lower Dauphin High School in 1960 and over the next 25 years his teams won 324, while only losing 42 and had 4 ties. The Pennsylvania Wrestling Round-up named his 1973 team the unofficial state champion and in I 1980 Coach Cassel was named Pennsylvania Coach of the year. A former wrestler said: "I would like everyone to know how Mr. Cassel has helped so many young people and how his influence on them has improved their lives forever. Mr. Cassel truly demonstrates in many ways the meaning of concern for others, honesty, friendship, and integrity." Cleon has retired from teaching after 37 years. He does however; still represent the area as the representative for Resilite Mat Company, a position he inherited from his coach Roy Phillips. He and his wife Dottie live on a 130-acre farm near Hummelstown, where he spends his time racing horses
