Stanley Mousetis
Stanley Mousetis was Franklin & Marshall College's first Eastern Intercollegiate Champion in 1948, and had a career college record of 25-1. As a coach he continued to be successful in the sport of wrestling, collecting over 300 wins as a high school head wrestling coach, and his teams enjoyed two undefeated seasons. He led many of his wrestlers to championship titles. Stan has coached at Bellefonte High School, Washington High School, Plum High School, Franklin Regional High School, and was an assistant coach at the University of Pittsburgh. Coach Mousetis did not only coach the sport of wrestling, but helped initiate the Pittsburgh Press Classic Wrestling and Junior Olympic Wrestling program for Western Pennsylvania. For several years he was the head coach of the Pennsylvania Junior National Freestyle and Greco-Roman teams. He has been named the WPIAL "Coach of the Year" twice and is a Member of the Franklin & Marshall Sports Hall of Fame, the Washington County Sports Hall of Fame, the WPIAL Hall of Fame (Southwestern Pennsylvania), and the Pennsylvania Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He has also been an active wrestling official for many years.
