Hank Brown

Hank Brown has been successful in the fields of academia, business, politics and civic activities; his accomplishments have produced a standard that few can match. Brown became the 11th President of the University of Northern Colorado in July 1998. Before becoming UNC's President, Brown served Colorado as a United States Senator from 1990 to 1997 and a Representative from 1980 to 1990, representing Colorado's 4th Congressional District. Before his service in t h e U.S. Congress, Brown was Vice President of Monfort of Colorado. He also served in the Colorado Senate from 1972-76. In high school, Brown was an All-State wrestler in California and lettered twice in wrestling at the University of Colorado. He is a decorated veteran and h s been the recipient of numerous local and international awards and honors for his business, political and civic accomplishments. Brown has been a consistent supporter and generous benefactor to the sport of wrestling.
