Cy Bellock graduated from Iowa State Teachers College in 1947 and began his coaching career in Oelwein, Iowa. He then moved to North high school in Salem, Oregon in 1960. He closed his coaching career at McNary high in 1965. Larry Mahan, many times all around rodeo Champion was a wrestler for Coach Bellock at North high school. Wrestling coaches state wide recognize Coach Bellock as the official photographer of the Oregon State High School 4A Championships.

His service to the kids, the coaches and the sport of Wrestling spans nearly 50 years.
