Gale Davis

Gale Davis is recognized for his years of dedication to the development of leadership and citizenship in young people through the sport of Wrestling.

Gail Davis spent a total of 35 years coaching. For 30 of those years he was involved in coaching wrestling. He started the program and coached at Illinois Valley high school from 1955 to 1958. Gale then moved to Redmond where he coached for five years. His team won the state championship in 1958. For the next four years he coached at Franklin high school. Gale spent the next 18 years coaching at O.C.E. (now Western Oregon Univ) until his retirement in 1985.

Coach Davis has given a lifetime of service to the youth of America through the sport of wrestling.
