Douglas Bashor

Doug Bashor has enjoyed success in the sport of wrestling both as a coach and a referee. He spent 26 years as head coach at Crescent Valley high school where he coached an individual state champion and numerous district champions.

As a referee, Bashor has worked at all levels. He officiated 4 state AAA championships and two national AAU championships. On the collegiate level, he worked several dual meets, 4 PAC-8 conference meets and the 1969 NCAA D1 championship. Basher also served as a referee for six world championships and was head referee for the 1964 Western Olympic trials.

Doug Bashor has impacted the lives of the youth of America through the sport of wrestling. For those accomplishments and more the National Wrestling Hall of Fame- Oregon Chapter honors Bashor with a lifetime service to Wrestling Award
