George Krupicka

George Kupka was a three sport letterman in high school: football, track and wrestling. He chose to attend the University of Oregon on a football scholarship, but wrestling was the sport that stayed with him after graduating from college. Krupicka assisted with the wrestling program at the University of Oregon for one year and then moved to North Eugene high school where he remained the next 31 years. Coach Krupicka’s teams were renowned for leg wrestling and every year he had at least one wrestler qualify for the state Tournament.

Not only did Krupicka coach as a profession, but he also worked closely with the cultural exchange program and hosted the regional Junior Development Tournament many times. George Krupicka has been a motivator of young people throughout his life and he’s given a lifetime of service to the youth of America through the sport of Wrestling.
