Johnny Rouse

Coach / Official Coach Rouse graduated in 1972 from the University of Central Florida but his personal wrestling career lasted until 1998, at which time he won the Masters Division at the National AAU tournament. When he retired from wrestling he had a personal career record of 300 wins and 100 losses. After graduation, Coach Rouse became an assistant coach at Central Florida until 1976 when he became head coach at Winter Park High School. He returned to Central Florida as head coach for one season before returning to Winter Park where he retired 1995. During his coaching years his teams won over 310 matches. For 23 years Johnny officiated at all levels and in 1982 officiated the NAIA, National Tournament in Edmonton, OK. He made 2 films for the National Federation of High Schools as well as being involved in many wrestling organizations. Coach Rouse was inactive since 1998 due to severe medical problems but to everyone's delight, he has rejoined Winter Park as an assistant coach and has plans to re-involve himself in USA Wrestling!
