NORMAN W. DAVIS is recognized for his years of dedication to the development of leadership and citizenship in young people through the sport of wrestling.

Norman Davis' teams won six state trophies, including one State Championship trophy, He also coached 11 teams to district championships. Coach Davis student/athletes won 81 individual titles, 20 of which were championship titles, and his teams enjoyed a record of 60 consecutive dual wins over a three year period.
Coach Davis' success has been recognized by being voted the 1976 Oregon Wrestling Coach of the Year, the 1989 Oregon's nominee for National Wresfling Coach of the year and receiving the 1989 Scholastic Coach Magazine's National High School Wrestling Coach Gold Award. He has been involved as head coach for several cultural exchange teams, and served as Treasurer of the US Wrestling Coaches Association.
Norman W. Davis team members have always recognized him as an outstanding coach and role model, and he has given a lifetime of service to the youth of America through the sport of wrestling.
