Harry Mondale

Harry Mondale is recognized for his years of dedication to the development of leadership and citizenship in young people through the sport of wrestling.

Coached 38 years.

Harry Martindale started his wrestling coaching career in 1958 at LaGrande high school where he started the wrestling program. In his nine years at LaGrande his teams had a record of 75–30 and won 2 league championships. For the next two years he coached in Minnesota where is teams had a perfect record of 30-0. Harry’s next 27 years were spent at Phoenix high school in Oregon where his teams won 6 state championships and 18 conference championships. He was elected coach of the year five times.

Coach Mondale has given a lifetime of service to the youth of America through the sport of wrestling.
