William Hoke

Bill began his coaching career in 1980 after completing his wrestling career at Florida International University, where he was a 2x NCAA Division II National Qualifier and nationally-ranked wrestler as a senior. He was head wrestling coach at Riverdale High School from 1981-90, and again in 1998-99, also serving as the school's Athletic Director. His teams at Riverdale went 117-23-2 over the course of his tenure, capturing 3 District and 1 Region Championship. Individually, Riverdale produced 7 State Championships and 7 State Place winners. He served as the head coach at Charlotte High School from 1992-98 and 1999-2004. Over that period, Charlotte went 134-23, winning 7 District and 2 Region Championships, as well as the 1997 FHSAA 2A State Championship and 1995 FHSAA 2A State Runners-up. Individually, Charlotte produced 22 State Place winners and 6 State Champions, including Cadet National Champion Evan Robinson. For his efforts, Coach Hoke was named the 1997 FACA Florida 2A Coach-of-the-Year. Coach Hoke also served on the Florida Junior and Cadet National Team coaching staff in the late 80's and early 90's. He also volunteers as a clinician and the trainer for the Florida Pride Wrestling Camps each summer. Bill is married to wife Jennie, and has three children: Jonathan, Jenell, and David
