Naomi Hunt

Naomi Hunt wrestled at Middlesex School in Concord, MA. She wrestled three years at 106 lbs for Coaches Dave Gutbrod and Dan Barber. She picked up wrestling as a sophomore and came in 2nd at the Andover Girls' Tournament and 6th at the Independent School League (ISL) Championships her first season. At the end of her junior season, she was voted Middlesex's first ever female captain of the wrestling team. In Naomi's senior year, she became the first girl to ever become an ISL Champion at any weight class. She also came in 2nd at the Northern New England Invitational and 5th at Prep New England's, which made her the third girl to ever qualify for Prep Nationals - and the only girl in 2017. She compiled a record of 20-7 during the 2016-2017 season. As a result of these accomplishments, Naomi was awarded 2017 All-League ISL, ISL League MVP, All-New England, Boston Globe All-Scholastic, and Boston Herald All-Scholastic. In addition to wrestling, Naomi has been a coxswain for the Middlesex Girls Varsity Crew program for three years, coxing the first varsity boat for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Academically, Naomi has been on the honor roll and high honor roll at Middlesex four times and will graduate with credit. She will attend Wake Forest University next fall where she plans to study Political Science and Business.
