Donald Smith
Don has been a High School wrestling official both here in Florida, as well as his native Minnesota since 1975. He also served as coach at Minnetonka senior High School in Minnesota from 1972-75, helping guide the team to a State Championship in 1974. In addition, Don has officiated Track & Field events for the past 12 years; and has run and completed 27 marathons to date. Don has been selected to work the FHSAA State Wrestling Championships six times. He has served as the President of the Metro Officials Association in Minnesota from 1976-87; member and President of the Palm Beach Wrestling Officials Association for 15 years; member of the FHSAA Official Advisory Committee. Don received the NFHS Outstanding Official for Florida in 2009. He is currently the Athletic Director at Palm Beach Lakes Community High School, where he has also served on the FIAAA Board of Directors and has been an FHSAA Delegate Assembly Member in 2008. His family includes wife, Christine (Teeny), and children: Stacy, Daniel, and Veronica.
