Beasey Hendrix III

A pioneer in wrestling and mental skills training, Beasey Hendrix left a profound mark on the sport of wrestling as a dedicated volunteer for USA Wrestling and a National Coaches Education Program gold level coach.

Ahead of his time in recognizing the critical role of mental preparation, Hendrix's innovative approach helped shape the careers of some of the greatest wrestlers in U.S. history by instilling in them the mindset necessary for championship success. His groundbreaking work introduced "The Perfect Match" system, designed to help wrestlers develop the focus, confidence, and resilience needed to excel on the world stage.

Wrestlers who benefited from his guidance include Greco-Roman world champion and Olympic silver medalist Dennis Hall and Olympic gold and bronze medalist and world champion Rulon Gardner. Hall said that "I was introduced to "The Perfect Match" in 1994 and believe it was responsible for helping me turn the corner in my wrestling career. My best world finish up to that point was eighth place in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. After learning about "The Perfect Match" I won three world medals, including a world championship."

Hendrix has also authored two books, "Wrestle to Win!" and "Wrestle Your Perfect Match!", which continue to serve as essential resources for wrestlers and coaches alike.

His teaching remains a cornerstone in wrestling training, proving that mental discipline is just as crucial as physical strength and technique.

Hendrix's legacy lives on, not just in the champions he mentored, but in the generations of wrestlers and coaches who continue to be inspired by his philosophies.
