Robert Sink

Bob Sink began his teaching and coaching career in 1967, at Ste. Genevieve High School teaching industrial arts and coaching football and track. In 1968, Bob was instrumental in starting wrestling at the school. In 1970, after a year of teaching and coaching in Arkansas, Bob accepted a teaching and coaching position at Jackson High School where he became assistant wrestling coach to two Hall of Famers, Paul Webber and later Bruce Thomas. During his tenure as a wrestling coach from 1970-1983, the Jackson Indians had many accomplishments: "¢ 7 Conference Championships "¢ 7 District Championships "¢ Dual record of 151-19 "¢ 1977 State Champions "¢ 1982 State Runner-Up "¢ 5 Top 10 finishes in the state tournament "¢ 3 individual state champions "¢ 21 state placers Bob was a MSHSAA Wrestling Official from 1983-2003. He officiated the Missouri State Wrestling Tournament nine times and was selected as the SEMO Conference Wrestling Official of the Year six times. Bob also coached football at Jackson High School from 1970-2011 and was head track coach from 1971-2007. In 2011, he was awarded the Sam Giambelluca Lifetime Achievement Award in honor of a Lifetime of Outstanding Dedication and Service to Missouri High School Athletics. Bob has been married to his wife, Sharon, for 44 years. They have one son, Corey (wife Molly) of Eureka, Missouri, and two grandchildren - Asher and Ryder. He currently teaches precision machining at the Cape Girardeau Career and Technical Center. Bob is also a volunteer football coach at Cape Central High School and a volunteer track coach at Jackson High School.
