Christian Monserrat

Christian Monserrat wrestled for Methuen High School under coach Bill James. He was a 4x sectional champion, 4x state champion, 4x all-state champion, 4x New England finalist and 2x New England champion with an overall record of 212-2. He is the second wrestler in MA history to be a 4x all-state champion. He is the fourth wrestler in MA history to be a 4x D1 state champion. Christian won the "outstanding wrestler" award at sectionals, states, and all-states in his senior year. He was a 4x MVC "wrestler of the year", a 4x Boston Herald all-scholastic, and a 4x Boston Globe all-scholastic. He was a 2x team captain. He was named All-American in USA Wrestling organization. Christian was a freshman NHSCA national All-American (3rd place). He was chosen as "Wrestler of the Year" for MA by the National Wrestling Coaches Association. He was the only wrestler to go undefeated in MA and had a career winning percentage of 99.1%. He was a 4x team MVP. Christian earned a Division 1 scholarship to West Virginia University. He was the 2013 Methuen High School Science fair winner, and went on to regional state science fair, and the state science fair held at MIT college. He graduated high school with a 3.36 GPA.
