Joe Bertolone
Joe Bertolone (Coach) - Hall of Fame honors are nothing new for Joe Bertelone. An Ohio native, Joe was a 2x NCAA Division III National Champion heavyweight at John Carroll University in 1974 & 1975. In 1985 he was inducted into the John Carroll Athletic Department Hall of Fame, and in 1996 he was inducted into the NCAA Division III Wrestling Hall of Fame. Joe is a long-time successful coach in the State of Florida, having relocated to here in 1977. He has amassed an overall record of 182-70-1 and counting, as a Head Coach at Chaminade, Miramar, and Archbishop McCarthy High Schools. In addition, he's had stints as an assistant at Chaminade, Cardinal Gibbons, and Archbishop McCarthy. He has coached multiple state place winners and champions, including 2x Florida State Champions Al Lewis (1984 & 1985), and Colby Borchetta (2007 & 2008). His teams have won numerous District and Region Championships, and he was the Hollywood Sun-Tattler Coach-of-the-Year in 1982 & 1983; and the Sun-Sentinel & Miami Herald Coach-of-the-Year in 2010. Joe has a son, J. Christian (26) and is currently coaching at Archbishop McCarthy High School
