Yvonne's service to wrestling began in the 1960's when she and a friend kept stats for their high school's wrestling team. After Pete became a head coach, she served as his statistician and organized many wrestling tournaments. In 1990, Yvonne attended her first pairing clinic at a Northern Plains regional tournament in Storm Lake, IA and began learning the intricacies of vertical pairing. Over the years, she became more proficient, serving as head pairer and conducting many clinics in Wisconsin and throughout the region. She was the Wisconsin Wrestling Federation's pairing director. As a member of the United States Wrestling Officials Association, she has risen to the highest level - P1E and is a member of the Pairing Advisory Board. She has received a USWOA Lifetime Achievement Award.
