Mike Mechling is recognized for his years of dedication to the development of leader ship and citizenship in young people through the sport of Wrestling.

• Coached wrestling for 33 years
• 4 time district coach of the year
• 10 individual OSAA state champions
• 37 individual OSAA State Placers

After graduating from Pacific University where he was Northwest conference champion, Mike coached wrestling for 33 years, four as an assistant at Pacific University, Forest Grove high school, Franklin high school and 29 as head coach at Wilson and Benson high schools. His wrestlers won 10 individual OSAA state titles and 37 OSAA State medals .
