Michael Pallotto

Mike Pallotto has coached at Roosevelt for 39 years.

He graduated from Lakewood High School and the University of Northern Colorado and has taught physical education and industrial arts at Roosevelt.

Heading into the 2011-2012 season his Rough Riders had won three state championships, finished second seven times and third twice.

He does not list his top team considering them all quite equal in his opinion.

He has coached 32 state champions, 96 state place-winners and 22 conference champions while 11 wrestlers have earned All-American honors.

He coached one three-time champion, Brian Luna (1993-1994 and 1996) and six two-time champions. The two-time champions were Brian Flack (1981-1982), Tony Luna (1992-1993), Joe Gonzales (2002-2003), Tony Jones (2003-2004), Quinten Fuentes (2005-2006) and Dan Frank (2007-2008).

The Rough Riders won the Class 3A State Championships in 1999, 2003 and 2008 and from there moved into the 4A ranks. They finished second to Broomfield 2010 and 2011.
