Bill Hodges
Bill Hodges retired from coaching in 2003 leaving a legacy to be recognized, not only for wrestling but for many high school administrative accomplishments. He graduated from Southern Colorado State College and 1970 and went on to obtain Masters Degrees from Northern Colorado and Adams State. He was the head wrestling coach at Manzanola High School from 1975-1999 and continued as an assistant through 2002. Over the course of his career on the mats, he coached 14 state champions, 43 pace winners and five who went on to win All-American honors. He also served as a head coach for the Bobcats in football, baseball and track. He was the 8-Man football Coach of the Year in 1982 as well has having his teams reach the state playoffs six times. Since retirement, he has been a scorekeeper and statistical volunteer for several wrestling tournaments and meets. Outside of wrestling, he was a member of the Colorado High School Activities Associations Board of Control for 13 years and the states Wrestling Committee for three years. He was voted into the Greater Pueblo Sports Hall of Fame in 2000 and is also active in automobile racing.
