David Caslow
Dave Caslow has spent a lifetime doing what he loves best, coaching wrestling. He went to Clarion State and became a four-year varsity performer. He served as team captain two years, was the 1963 PSAC runner-up at 130, and earned a 1963 NAIA 4th place medal at 123 pounds (Clarion's first national place winner). Dave started his coaching career at Tyrone under Bob Bubb (1966-68) then moved to Warrior Run where he was head coach (1968-71). He spent the majority of his coaching life at Philipsburg-Osceola (1971-2005). Since his retirement from head coaching, Dave has volunteered at P-0 as well as West Branch. During his distinguished career, Coach Caslow was the 10th wrestling coach in PA history to achieve 400 wins. His teams finished Top Three District 6 AAA Tournament 20 times. Dave coached 55 District Champions, 22 NW Regional Champions, 83 PIAA State Tournament Qualifiers and 24 PIAA Place winners, including two State Champions. He was inducted into the PWCA Hall of Fame in 1997 and the Clarion Sports Hall of Fame in 2001. Dave was named the District 6 Coach of the Year 4 times. He has also been the recipient of the PA Junior Wrestling Area II, section 2 Distinguished Service Award. Dave and his wife Grace have six children, Troy, Jill, Matt, Alice, Sara, and Merry.
