Ken Veronee

Official Ken Veronee began his officiating career in 1981 with his two mentors Rick Tucci and Mort Geller looking over his shoulder.

Moving to Palm Beach County in 1986 he began officiating high school wrestling and the following year became a Charter member of the newly formed Palm Beach Wrestliing Officials Association and the Treasure Coast Wrestling Officials Association.  Elected to the position of Secretary, he has continued to serve in that leadership position.

Ken officiated his 14th FHSAA State Championship tournament this year.  He has been the Head Referee in Palm Beach County since 1992.  He has served as Clinician at several FHSAA State Field Clinics to instruct his fellow referees.

In 1995 Ken was honored by the FHSAA with the Superior Official's Award.  In 2000 the National Federation of Officials Association named Ken Official of the Year.  In 2006 he was recognized by the FHSAA for his 25 years of service.  In 2006 he was inducted as an inaugural member of the Palm Beach County Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Ken moved to Lake Placid, Florida in 2013 and joined the Lake Region and SW Florida associations.

He retired in 2023 after 41 years as an official.
