Frank Lasagna
Coach
Frank Lasagna graduated from Huron University located in South Dakota in 1969. He began his coaching career in South Dakota but soon moved to Florida where he taught school and coached at Glades Central High School in Belle Glade. Frank has been teaching and coaching for 38 years. He recruited fellow South Dakota wrestling coaches Bill Boggess and Jerry Kuntz to join him in Palm Beach County. He eventually moved to Seminole Ridge High School and started the wrestling program.
His awards include Dwyer County Science Teacher 1996, Glades Central High School Coach of the year 1996, Palm Beach Newspaper Coach of the Year two times, Palm Beach County Coach of the Year six times.
His coaching accomplishments include 76 District Championships, 27 Regional Champions, 90 State Qualifiers, 27 State Place winners, 13 State Finalists, and 8 State Champions. His overall record is 225-163.
Special mention must be made of his devotion to his wrestlers. Many were from families with limited income but Frank managed to get them to tournaments and to colleges and help them all to become contributing citizens.
