The second eldest son of one of the most outstanding Long Island wrestling families, Paul Brodmerkel graduated from Lindenhurst High School where he wrestled for Coach Jack Stanbro. While in high school, Paul distinguished himself as a Sectional Champion.

He went on to wrestle at Lock Haven University where he won two Pennsylvania College Championships and represented his college into, Division I National Tournaments. Paul has dedicated his life to wrestling, coaching, and officiating for over 30 years.

He was the assistant coach at Springfield College, and then replaced Jack Stanbro at Lindenhurst High School. Paul went on to represent Section 11 as the New York State Chairman for wrestling. He coached Hofstra University wrestling and officiated wrestling in both free style and folk style.

Paul is also a member of the Lindenhurst and Lock Haven University Halls of Fame.
