Richard Tribit

Richard Tribit is a graduate of Seminole High School and the University of Central Florida, where he competed until the program was dropped in 1986.

He has coached at Lyman, Oviedo, Winter Springs and Osceola High Schools.

Tribit is a Bronze Level Instructor for USA Wrestling's coaches education program. His teams have won seven district titles and four regional titles. He has coached 27 All-Americans including 2008 Cadet Nationals champion Levi Clemons and 1991 Cadet Nationals champion, Nicky Samero.

He has been named SAC Coach of the Year five times and OBC Coach of the Year three times; FACA Dairy Farmers 3A Coach of the Year in 1993 and FAWA Mike McCoy Memorial Coaches Award recipient in 1997.

Tribit was athletic director at Winter Springs High School in 1997-2005; Celebration High School in 2017-21 and Osceola High School in 2021-25. He was named USA Wrestling Florida Man of the Year in 2010 and is a two-time NWCA Florida Assistant Coach of the Year. Rick served as Florida National Team Director from 1993-1999 and again in 2008. He served as a National Team coach from 1991-1993, 1999-2004, and 2006-07.
